Abstract

This work investigates the sub-leading twist generalized transverse momentum-dependent parton distributions (GTMDs) of the pion, specifically the E2 GTMD, within the light-front quark model framework. The GTMDs encode the most complete information about the phase-space distribution of partons in the pion, bridging TMDs (at forward limit) and GPDs (at zero transverse momentum). The sub-leading twist contributions provide sensitivity to orbital angular momentum and spin-orbit correlations.
