Abstract
We report a data-driven determination of the unpolarized quark generalized parton distributions (GPDs) of the pion at zero skewness (ξ = 0) via a global fit to experimental electromagnetic form factor and parton distribution function data. A flexible form factor parameterization is embedded into the GPD framework with collinear PDFs and a profile function encoding transverse dynamics. The resulting GPDs provide impact-parameter-space interpretations — revealing the spatial parton distributions of the lightest QCD bound state. The results provide essential input for future experiments including the EIC Sullivan process, JLab 12 GeV exclusive π+ electroproduction, COMPASS, and AMBER pion-beam experiments.
Summary
